Nagpur: In an outrageous incident, a 40-year old woman was raped by her employer. When the woman resisted and shouted for help, the accused employer threatened to kill her daughter.
The victim woman was working in the office of the accused Chandrakant Manthanwar, resident of Amrut Palace, near Women’s College, Nandanvan area. The accused runs his office named Manthanwar Associates, situated at the same residential apartment. On March 19, 2015, around 3 pm, the accused Chandrakant, taking advantage of the woman being alone, forcibly took her to an adjacent room in the office and raped her. When the woman resisted the rape and shouted for help, the accused threatened to kill her daughter. However, the woman apparently gathered courage and registered a case at Nandanvan Police Station against the accused.
PSI Raut, acting on the delayed complaint, has booked the accused Chandrakant Manthanwar under Sections 376, 506 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
