Booty worth Rs 5 lakh swept away from house in Kamptee

Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants broke into a flat in Bharat Town near New Yerkheda under Kamptee police station and decamped with gold, silver ornaments and cash to the tune of Rs 5,00,000 between Dec 10 and 16.

As per the details, 50-year-old complainant Surekha Mahesh Narnavre resident of Flat No. 148/18 B, Bharat Town behind Khushbhu Lawn had gone to her siblings’ place along with her family in Nagpur between Dec 10 and 16.

Meanwhile, few anonymous burglar gained entry into her house by breaking the latch of the main door and fled with booty worth Rs 5 lakh.

The burglary came to fore on Dec 16, when the 50-year-old returned home, only to find the ransacked house. Subsequently they rushed to Kamptee police and filed a complaint.

Kamptee police have registered a case under section 454,457, 380 of IPC and started the probe.
