Nagpur: An outing for shopping proved costly for a woman as burglars struck her house and decamped with gold ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs 1.10 lakh. The theft took place in Nandanvan police jurisdiction on July 14 night. But the case was registered by the woman on Thursday after noticing the burglary.
A resident of Plot No. 123, Mitra Vihar Nagar, Kharbi Road, Madhuri Prashant Raut (35) between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm on July 14 went out for shopping with house door ajar.
Taking advantage of the open door, unidentified burglar(s) gained entry and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 1.02 lakh and cash Rs 8000 kept in a wooden cupboard.
