Bollywood mourns demise of Deven Verma

Deven Verma, the actor known for his subtle and brilliant comic performances in classic movies like Angoor, Chori mera kaam and chor ke ghar chor, passed away on Tuesday, after he suffered kidney failure followed by a heart attack.

Deven was best known for his roles in comedies directed by Basu Chatterji, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Gulzar. He was last seen on the big screen in 2003 in Calcutta Mail. The Bollywood celebs got onto a microblogging site to extend their condolences. Here is what they wrote:
