Bogus finance co dupes woman of Rs 3.90 lakh over ‘loan deal’

Nagpur: A bogus finance company duped a young woman to the tune of Rs 3.90 lakh over ‘loan deal.’ Jaripatka police have registered a case and searching for unidentified accused.

The victim, Tina Prabhudayal Uikey (28), resident of Plot No. 34, Ramai Nagar, Ring Road, told police that she saw an advertisement in Lokmat Samachar newspaper regarding a finance company extending loan on the basis of marksheets. Being needy of money, Tina contacted the mentioned mobile phones 8955263053, 9352178597, 9351376856, 9309464706, and 93148447974 and sought loan of Rs 1 lakh. The mobile holders told Tina to deposit Rs 3.90 lakh in various bank accounts for procuring the required loan. However, neither the mobile holders nor the finance company extended the loan to Tina and thus duped her of Rs 3.90 lakh.

Jaripatka police constable Manoj has booked all the accused under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and launched a detailed probe into the matter.
