Blunder lands man, who tried to cheat Radisson Blu Hotel, into police custody

Nagpur: A blunder on the part of a man, who tried to cheat Radisson Blu Hotel, landed him into police custody.

A native of House No. 473, Sector 16, Panchkula, Haryana, the accused has been identified as Karansingh Haripalsingh (35).

The accused Karansingh sent Xerox copy of his passport on the email of Radisson Blu Hotel for booking Room No. 102. However, the accused committed a silliest mistake by marking “female” in the gender column of the passport. Suspecting foul play, the hotel management approached Pratap Nagar police and registered a case. Acting on the complaint, Police Sepoy Rajendra went to Passport Office for confirmation purpose and found that the said passport was issued to another person. The accused Karansingh was issued a different passport. Armed with the information, Rajendra lodged a complaint against the accused in this regard.

Pratap Nagar ASI Rajesh Raut booked the accused Karansingh Haripalsingh under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 474 and arrested him. Further probe is on.
