The N.S.S Unit of Vidarbha Institute of Technology had organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank, Nagpur. The camp was a huge success and saw active participation from students, faculty and Non-Teaching Staff of VIT.
According to Prof.Kasim Ali Saiyed (NSS Program Officer), a lot of our students had participated in this blood donation camp which was an encouraging indicator of voluntarism and awareness.
In today’s scenario, where the need for safe blood is steadily on the rise, the NSS Cell of College and all donors are indeed serving the society in a way that deserves acknowledgement and appreciation.
Dr.Sanjay S Uttarwar, Principal VIT said that, “If the younger generation comes forward to give blood voluntarily, there will be no dearth of blood worldwide.” He further added that “When you donate blood for an unknown person, the artificial barriers of caste, creed, religion and languages are demolished. It is indeed a very fulfilling experience.”
