Nagpur: Days after a customer allegedly found a cockroach in the sambar served at Mangaluru Kitchen, another food safety complaint has emerged in the city. A family has alleged that a blade was found in food served at Uttar Dakshin Naivedhyam, a restaurant in Pratap Nagar.
According to the complaint filed with the police, the family was dining at the restaurant when a woman suddenly felt a sharp object in her mouth while eating. The family claims that upon examining the object, it appeared to be a cellotape cutter blade.

Following the incident, the family lodged a complaint with Bajaj Nagar Police Station. Police have initiated an investigation and are examining the allegations.
As of now, Uttar Dakshin Naivedhyam has not issued any official statement regarding the complaint.
The incident comes shortly after the alleged cockroach-in-sambar complaint involving Mangaluru Kitchen, raising fresh concerns over food safety and hygiene standards at restaurants in Nagpur. However, both matters remain under investigation, and the allegations have not been independently verified.
