Udhav Thackeray claimed that BJP won Lok Sabha election on the strength of the alliance with Shiv Sena and Shiv Sainiks to contest in the polls. At many places in the state BJP had fielded their candidates’ in-spite of our candidate having good rapport with the people of the area, still we kept our peace-pact, since we had one vision of ensuring BJP and Narendra Modi’s win. However, after they achieved their goal, they have broken a 25-year-old alliance. We have not broken our alliance with Hindutva; however, BJP seems to have to broken the alliance with Shiv Sena and Hindutva too. He went on to add the Sanskrit shloka Vinasha Kaley Vipareet Budhi” while explaining how BJP is going towards destruction. Udhav was speaking his mind out at a public rally held at Reshimbagh Ground which is considered to be a stronghold of Hindutva.
Udhav Thackeray arrived to a dais, backdrop, the shamiyana and the entire ground adorned with Saffron flags and saffron coloured cloth. Two massive Saffron flags were fluttering majestically. As he arrived the entire workers and activists raised slogans of “Jai Bhavani” and “Jai Shivaji” and other typical slogans of Shiv Sena.
Udhav Thackeray arrived at the venue at 7:45 pm after addressing rallies at Wardha and Bhandara.
Senior BJP leaders not aware of the cause of breaking the alliance
Udhav Thackeray claimed those two days ago, when he spoke to Lal Krishna Advani and spoke of the heart-breaking split of the 25-year-old alliance with BJP, Advani is alleged to have said that he does not know why BJP chose to split from the alliance, Udhav claimed.
Udhav claimed that they have difference of opinion on many occasions, but alliance was always respected and the concept of being united always prevailed. However, this time, BJP had suggested a very non-digestible division of seats. They called us obstinate, but they somehow are not telling their selfishness of wanting a king’s share everywhere. To top this Eknath Khadse rings up to tell their breaking the alliance, instead of a senior leader.
Udhav Thackeray claimed that Shiv Sena will bring the vision and dream of Bala Saheb (Thackeray) and Baba Saheb (Ambedkar) true in Maharashtra. The Blue flags and the Saffron Flags will together be unfurled in Maharashtra.
Udhav quoted from history how a handful of soldiers of Brave Shivaji Maharaja defeated an entire army of Mogul King Afzal Khan. He claimed that Vidarbha needs to hoist a Saffron flag here.
While taking a dig at Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar, he said that we have not forgotten the Rs 70,000 crores irrigation scam. Had we opened our mouth then, Ajit Pawar would have been where Jayalalitha is today.
He claimed that these leaders should keep their word. They forget the promises made to Vidarbhites about the farmers and various other pressing issues. Udhav Thackeray claimed that if they come to power, they will make a financial policy for the farmers. There will be a simultaneous investigation and a tracking system to track if the financial benefits reach the farmers.
Bullet trains for Mumbai and Nagpur
Udhav Thackeray claimed that since Shiv Sena too has contributed to Narendra Modi winning the Lok Sabha polls and in becoming Prime-Minister, He will request Modi to start a Bullet train to Mumbai and Nagpur also. He claimed that he has a blood relationship with Vidarbha. Justifying that he said that his grandmother i.e. Balasaheb Thackeray’s mother is from Amravati, so that way, he has a blood relationship with Vidarbha. He claimed that he will not abandon the brotherhood with this region. Udhav said that Shiv Sena will ensure that Vidarbha too progresses with the rest of Maharashtra. Shiv Sena can certainly achieve this since the party has people who are ready to lay their lives for the ideologies and for party’s welfare.
He took a dig at the BJP and Congress party for making big promises of MIHAN and the employment opportunities it will generate. Udhav asked what is the status now, MIHAN has still not taken off the way it should have till date.
Nagpur a Transport Hub and Amravati an Agriculture Hub
Udhav Thackeray said that he has a vision statement and he wants a Transport Hub to be developed in Nagpur. Udhav claimed that Nagpur should get importance since it is sensibly a logistically ideal place for a Transport Hub to come-up. He wants an Agriculture Hub to be made at Amravati so that Cotton, Soyabeans, Oranges and other crops gets good prices and get market.
LBT Abolished; One window system
He claimed that if Shiv Sena comes to power, LBT will certainly be abolished and a single window system for payment of all taxes which will be suitable for all traders and businessmen. He claimed that he wants Vidarbha to progress in all spheres. If you have will-power everything is possible.
Tablet for school kids
Udhav Thackeray claimed that he has come-up with a Tablet that has the complete education for 8th, 9th and 10th classes. This is compatible and can be accessed by students of all languages Hindi, English, Marathi, Urdu, Gujarati etc. This will be fulfillment of the dream of Balasaheb Thackeray to reduce the weight of school bags.
Pro-Vidarbha / Nagpur Vision Statement of Shiv Sena
He claimed that according to his vision statement, Nagpur will have a Cancer Hospital which will give cheaper treatment to cancer patients. Apart from this he plans to start an on-line or live treatment of patients from a doctor or panel of doctors sitting in a remote place. He claimed that this will ensure knowledge and experience sharing with fellow doctors especially in relation to treatment by doctors to poor villagers or rural and tribal populace. He also claimed that Unemployment from this region should be removed for good.
