In the month of April the mercury is reaching 44 degree and there is every possibility of it rising further in May, such possibility is expressed by met department. As the Sun is spewing heat the life has become miserable for humans and life of birds and animals is in danger. So in the meeting held under the chairmanship of former mayor, Prof Kalpana Pande, city president Dr Kirtida Ajmera announced that provision of water and food will be made for birds and animals in all 72 zones of the city.

So hundreds of earthen pots were distributed among women for making such provisions and saving birds and animals of the city from sweltering heat.

Present on the occasion were former mayor, prof Kalpana Pande, city president, Dr Kirtida Ajmera, mahamantri Jyoti Janbandhu, Civic body members, Umatai Gathibandhe, Laxmi Yadav, Lata Yerkhede, Kalyani Telang, Asha Gupta, Maya Thawli, Maya Dhiwre, Snehal Bihare, Sangeeta Wankhede, Puja Tiwari, Bharati Armarkar, Shraddha Pathak, Shahnaz Ali, Vaishali Gaikwad, Pratima Vairagade, Rekha Nimje, Rukhmatai and several other women took vow to save birds and animals from heat.
