The Cycle Rally, organized by jointly by Maitree Parivar Sanshta and Yuva Jhep Pratishthan under the auspices of Tarun Bharat, witnessed ecstatic and patriotic youths from every corner of the city marching towards Tarun Bharat on their cycles shouting high-pitched slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” “Vande Mataram.” The Cycle Rally, aimed at spreading “Save Fuel, Save Environment” message, was flagged off by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar from Tarun Bharat office in Ramdaspeth.

The biggest Cycle Rally ever on cool and pleasant Saturday morning made the Orange City proud as all national records were left behind by the wheels of more than 12,000 cycle riders including kids, young boys and girls, women and men, and of course the elder citizens. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukh, Datta Meghe, MP, Mayor Anil Sole, MLAs Sudhakar Deshmukh, Krishna Khopde, former MP Banwarilal Purohit, Congress City President Jaiprakash Gupta, Opposition Leader in NMC Vikas Thakre, Social Worker Umesh Chaube, MNS leader Hemant Gadkari, President of Tarun Bharat Dr Vilas Dangre, Managing Director Vishwas Pathak, Executive Editor Gajanan Nimdeo, Maitree Parivar Sanstha’s Chandu Pendke, Yuva Jhep Pratishthan’s Sandeep Joshi, Principal Sharad Suryavanshi, and other dignitaries.
Earlier, the atmosphere went patriotic with Prahar Military School’s band was welcoming the dignitaries and participants with tuneful beats. The patriotic songs aired from dais were pouring nationalism and the participants and spectators were equally accompanying with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram.”
At the outset, Femina Miss India Runner-up Lopamudra Raut administered the oath of Environment Protection to those who were present on the occasion. The National Anthem followed oath taking and then Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukh, Mayor Anil Sole, Opposition Leader in NMC Vikas Thakre and others flagged of the Cycle Rally.
The Jawans of Indian Air Force (IAF), led by Ravi Prakash, were in the forefront of the Cycle Rally. A youth with giant Tricolour in his hands, beautiful Lopamudra Raut in an open Jeep, renowned singer Anirudh Joshi were following the IAF Jawans. And they all were followed by a sea of cyclists, excited but disciplined.
The attractions of the biggest Cycle Rally ever were noted chef Vishnu Manohar, Devendra Malamkar with tallest cycle than others, Sarjerao Galpat in the attires of Subhashchandra Bose, Ramesh Bahal with shortest height, Rajan Hebib, Ganesh Jaiswal, Adv Vijay Deshpande all holding Save Environment banners, 90-year old Tryambak alias Aaba Kaore, elderly Ramendra Chatterjee, Varkaris, students of Navyug School on cycles with different messages, other thousands of cyclists dotting the 8-kilometer route.
