Big Ben, Nagpur City witness victory in NDFA First Division Football Tourney

Nagpur  News : Big Ben Club and Nagpur City Club won their respective league matches in the NDFA First Division Football Tournament here at Police Line Takli ground on November 17, 2013.

In the first match of the day, Bib Ben Club beat Nagpur Western 4-0. Big Ben Club dominated the match as Nagpur Western could not score throughout the match. Kunal Sharma drew the first blood for Bib Ben in the 11 minute to sustain the 1-0 lead till the halftime.

In the second half, Big Ben came out strong as they scored two goals through Saurabh Malvene in the 53rd and 65 minute. Saurabh’s attack made the scores 3-0. A few minutes later, in the 79th minute, Vikas Borkar scored his first and winning goal for Big Ben to record a 4-0 win over Nagpur Western.
In another match, however, the match witnessed no goal from either side till the halftime. In the second half, Mohd. Sameer opened account for Nagpur City Club in the 46th minute. Romorio Pandey doubled the lead in the 55th minute to make it 2-0.  The winning goal for Nagpur City was scored by Sagar in the 79th minute.

Baba Sporting Club defeated Brother Welfare, Kamptee 3-1 in the Late Jawaharlal Darda Second Division NDFA League underway here at Madhavrao Wankhede Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalay ground, Kamptee, here on November 17, 2013.
Tahseen Ahmad opened account for Baba Sporting in the 20 minute. Down with 1-0, Brother Welfare could score goal in the first half.
In the second half, Baba Sporting scored their second goal through Jameel Ahmad in the 80th minute to make it 2-0. Five minutes later, in the 85th minute, Salimullah struck third and winning goal for Baba Sporting.
Baba Sporting’s Irfan Ahmad (25th minute), Misbahul Haque (60th minute) and Brother Welfare’s Jibran Malik (80th) were cautioned with yellow card during the match.
In the second match, East Kamptee trounced Kamptee United 2-0 as Shaban Mehandi scored twice. East Kamptee scored through Shaban Mehandi in the 25th minute and 70th minute to ensure an easy win. l ‑ Tahseen Ahmad opened account for Baba Sporting in the 20 minute. Down with 1-0, Brother Welfare could score goal in the first half.
