- Seizure of cars was a big blow to Bhutes
Nagpur: The Bhutes have made a false allegation against the Police personnel of Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Nagpur Crime Branch. According to reliable sources, Bhute has alleged that the Police personnel of EOW had demanded some money from him not to undertake the search and seizure operations against them. Since they (Bhutes) did not give them the demanded money, the Police personnel of EOW have carried out the operation, alleged Bhutes.
On October 6, 2015, the Police personnel of Economic Offences Wing of Nagpur Crime Branch made a search and seizure of all the properties of Bhutes. This was since ill-famous Prashant Wasankar had parked or invested the money which he had swindled from the investors of his Ponzi schemes.
The EOW police personnel seized five properties of Bhutes.
- Their showroom Tajshree Tower, Sakkardara.
- A house on Plot No 29 in Hindustan Colony
- A house on Plot No 122 in Shivaji Nagar, Ambazhari
- A house on Plots No 6 & 7 in Manish Nagar.
(Almost all the above seized immovable properties are said to be mortgaged for Rs 20 crores loans from various banks).
- A Warehouse cum Showroom on Plots No 13, 14 and 67 in MIDC Hingna.
Around 120 brand new Honda Cars, 137 Motorcycles and 5 Mini-Tempos were seized by the EOW. The total worth of seized goods from this Warehouse cum Showroom is said to be Rs 20 crores.
These seized goods were handed over to Justice Suryavanshi of Special MPID (Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors’ Act) Court which is looking into the Wasankar’s case.
Sources claimed that the seizure of the Brand new Honda Cars was a big blow to the Bhutes and he is said to be trying to build all kinds of pressure to get the cars released from the Police. In pursuance to his attempt to build pressure on the EOW officials, he went on to made baseless allegations against them.
