Nagpur: A beer shop owner molested a 40-year old woman and threatened to kill her father-in-law for initiating action against the beer shop. The incident took place on Tuesday evening.
The accused Pratap Laxmandas Damvani (48), resident of Plot No. 438, Hindu Bagh, owns the beer shop situated in front of the woman’s house in Koradi. A case is going on in a court to vacate the shop. Subsequently, on Tuesday (Oct 13) around 4.30 pm, officials of Excise Department initiated action against the beer shop and took away the goods with them.
Infuriated by the action, accused Pratap Damvani targeted his anger on the 40-year old woman. He started abusing the woman with choicest words, caught hold of her hand and indulged in vulgar actions. Moreover, the accused Pratap threatened to kill the woman’s father-in-law.
Based on a complaint filed by the woman, Koradi PSI S S Ingle registered a case against the accused Pratap Damvani under Sections 294, 354, 506 of IPC. Further probe is underway.
