Nagpur: The owner of a restaurant in the city has been arrested in a cheque bounce case under Ambazari police station. Samir Tripathi, proprietor of Bawarchi restaurant had allegedly issued a cheque which was dishonoured on account of insufficient balance in the account.

After the arrest, he was produced before the court where he was released on bail. Tripathi owed an amount of five lakh to the complainant in a business transaction against which Tripathi issued the cheque.

However, the cheque could not be realised due to shortage of fluids in the concerned account. So the aggrieved businessman approached the court which issued non bailable warrant against Tripathi.

Police had been hunting for him since two weeks but in vain. However, on Thursday he was arrested by the Ambazari police.
