Nagpur Today: The All India Bank Employees Association Union having 90 per cent membership has called for a nationwide strike to press for their long-pending demands. The two-day strike is organized on March 28 and 29, 2014.
The employees and staff staged an agitation in front of the main branch situated at Kingsway near Railway Station, Nagpur. They shouted slogans against the management for ignoring their long-pending demands.
According to the President of AIBEA Satyasheel Rewatkar and General Secretart Suresh Bhobate, in spite of many talks with the management, the administration has failed to redress their grievances and agree to their demands. The administration seems to ignore their demands. This has led the staff and employees to go on strike.
The Armed Guards and Probationary Officers too are participating in this strike. One of the demands include the appointments of Clerks, Armed Guards, appointments of guards, reimbursement of petrol bills, Health Check-up facilities etc.
