Bank manager caught taking bribe of Rs 10,000

Nagpur News : The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested branch manager of Central Bank of India, Chikli (Buldhana) for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 at his branch office on Tuesday evening.

Gulab Narnawre had demanded the bribe to issue the sanction letter to the complainant Prakash Bankar, through which he would get the subsidy by the state government of Rs 2.51 lakhs.

Bankar had applied for the sanction letter to get the government subsidy for Scheduled castes / Scheduled Tribes. Police said that without Narnawre’s sanction, the letter would not be accredited by the bank and Bankar would not be able to get the subsidy amount.
