Nagpur: Balaji Mahotsav and Balaji-Padmawati Vivah ceremonies were organized at Balaji Mandir in Besa with religious fervor and pomp. Palanquin of the Lord was taken out from the Temple in the presence of large number of devotees. The palanquin was welcomed and worshipped at many places en route and the area reverberated with the chants of ‘Govinda, Govinda.’ The palanquin procession, accompanied by dhol, tasha, horses with attractive decoration, crisscrossed the area including Besa T-Point and Besa Square.
In the evening, pooja, abhishek were also organized. A musical programme was also presented by Anuja Menghal (Saoji) and her group and was enjoyed by hundreds of devotees. The day’s programmes concluded with distribution of ‘prasad.’
On January 24, ‘Shodshopchar pooja’ will be performed from 7 am while ‘devdevak’ will be held at 8 am. ‘Simantpujan’ at 9 am, ‘Shree’s Vivah’ at 10.30 am, ‘Maha Arti’ at 12.30 pm, and ‘Mahaprasad’ will be distributed from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm.
