bawankuleNagpur: Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday directed the concerned officials all departments to send all development project proposals to be carried with the funds of District Planning Committee before June 30. Proposals sent thereafter will not be considered. Moreover, if the funds of development works remained unutilized then the concerned officials would be held responsible and stern actions initiated against them, Bawankule warned.

The District Planning Committee carries out the development works forwarded by the concerned departments and people’s representatives in the district with the funds received from State Government. Every department has to divide their funds in eight parts and the divided funds are distributed in six Assembly constituencies in city and recommendations of local MP and the Guardian Minister for development works. The concerned officials should send the development proposals beforeJune 30 in accordance with the suggestions of all MLAs.

The meeting was attended by officials of different departments. Earlier, Nagpur District Planning Committee had Rs 150 crore at its disposal for development works. However, after Devendra Fadnavis became Chief Minister, the DPC funds were increased to Rs 350 crore. Therefore, there will be no paucity of funds, Bawankule stressed.
