B.A first year student hangs self after argument with Mom

Nagpur News : An 18-year-old Sonu Kukde, first year arts student of CP & Berar College, committed suicide in a fit of rage after an argument with mother for showing her results. Sonu consumed poison on Tuesday evening at her Bhandewadi residence.

Hours before Kudke took the extreme step, she had an argument with her mother for not showing her first year final exam result. Her mother told police that Kudke was demanding admission fee for the second year from her father, Ramdeep, a daily wager. However, Ramdeep and her mother had kept a condition to show her passed result before giving her the admission fee amount.

Police said that Kukde was forcing for the admission fee amount from past few days. On Tuesday, she had an argument over the same issue and her mother reprimanded her for not showing the results. Her mother had alleged to her that she might have failed in her final exam. Few hours after argument, Kukde consumed some insecticide at around 5.30 pm.

Minutes later, her parents found her vomiting and rushed her to nearby private hospital where she died during treatment. The suicide was registered as an accidental death.
