Nagpur: The Jaripatka-based Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal has organised various religious programmes to mark Awatar Divas of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib on April 21.
The programmes will start at 6 am with collective reading of Shri Japuji Sahib and Shri Sukhmani Sahib. Later, the organiser Adv Madhavdas Mamtani will throw light on life of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur. The programmes will conclude with Aarti, Stuti of Adi Shakti Bhavani Mata inscribed Granths of 11 Sikh Gurus and Ardas. ‘Guru ka Langar’ (Prasad) will be distributed from 8.30 am.
Adv Mamtani said Guru Tegh Bahadur is remembered as the protector and warrior Guru who relentlessly fought for religious freedom for all. He played a significant role in the protection of people from forceful conversion to Islam during the Mughal rule in 1675. This Year marks the 400th birth anniversary of the Ninth Guru.
