Nagpur: Commencing the Round Table India week, Nagpur Tigers Round Table 299 organised an interactive workshop at Vaishali Girls Hostel, with a special focus on ‘How to fight Mental, Physical & Self Abuse’ in lines with the National RTI Week theme ‘Girl Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Day’.
The workshop was conducted at Vaishali Girls Hostel by renowned Consciousness & Empowerment Coach Parveen Tuli & Jyoti Kapoor from the city who had recently been featured in Yourstory.com. The session was attended by 42 girls from 5th to 10th standard. Attendees were shown videos on self help and were encouraged to speak up against the problems or abuse if they ever face them.
The kids were very responsive and had a great eye opener session. The kids were served refreshments after the workshop. The students and the hostel staff profusely thanked the speakers for their encouraging words and the awareness imparted.”
