Nagpur: An attempt to murder accused and his 8-10 accomplices went on rampage at a Police Station, blocked the entry gate by parking his car, manhandled a PSI and thrashed a woman who had come to lodge a complaint against the accused. The outrageous incident occurred in the dead of night on Friday(April 24).
The accused Arvind alias Balu Shravan Meshram (35), resident of Rambagh, Nagpur, and his accomplices stormed the Imambad Police Station and created chaos around 2400 hours of Friday. The accused Balu Meshram first blocked the entry gate of Police Station by parking his car right in the middle. Later, the accused heckled and manhandled the PSI Balaji Vaidya and when the PSI tried to pacify the accused shouted at him in a threatening posture. The accused Balu Meshram and his accomplices even did not spare the injured woman who had come to Police Station to register a case against the accused. The woman was beaten up severely.
Imambada PSI Tembhurne, based on a complaint lodged by victim PSI Balaji Vaidya, has booked the accused Arvind alias Balu Meshram and his 10 accomplices under Sections 353, 341, 186, 147, 149, 504, 506 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
Earlier, in an audacious incident that occurred around 2300 hours of Friday, the accused Arvind alias Balu Meshram, Arti Meshram, Dolly, Sachin Wasnik abused and bashed up the woman Rani Amol Bagde (25), resident of Rambagh. Rani had gone to the party, being hosted by the accused, and had demanded eatables for her son. Instead of giving eatables, the accused thrashed Rani severely. Later, Arvind alias Balu whipped out a knife and delivered 2-3 blows on Rani in an intention to kill her. However, luckily Rani dodged the knife blows but received a stab injury on her hand. Rani immediately rushed to Imambada Police Station and lodged a complaint in this regard.
PSI Balaji Vaidya booked all the four accused under Sections 307, 504, 34 of IPC and investigating the matter further.
At this precise time, when PSI Vaidya was registering an FIR based on Rani Bagde’s complaint, the accused Balu Meshram and his 8-10 accomplices stormed the Imambada Police Station and went on rampage.
According to sources and reports, it is gathered that the accused Arvind alias Balu Meshram and some others have been sent to jail.
