Nagpur: Manohar aka Sambhaji Bhide and Milind Ekbote’s role in the Bhima-Koregaon violence that took place on Jan 1 is well known. The incident was condemned in entire Maharashtra and it was demanded that the guilty be punished. A particular community’s people tried to create a conflict between the Buddhist and other communities. While on the other hand with joint effort of Maratha Sewa Sangh, Sambhaji Brigade, OBC Mahasangh and Buddhist organisations were successful in maintaing peace in the state.
According to Maratha Sewa Sangh’s Avinash Kakade and Buddhist community’s representative Aman Kamble after the incident there is need that Maratha Sewa Sangh, Sambhaji Brigade, OBC Mahasangh and Buddhist organisation come together and form a social community so that peace, goodwill, Mutual solidarity, are maintained. A meeting of all this organisations was held and it was decided to expose the conspiracies by Manuvadis against other communties.
The meeting was attended by Maratha sewa Sangh’s Madhukar Mehkare, Dilip Khodke, Avinash Kakade, Sambhaji Brigade’s Ankush Burangey, Shivmati Nanda Deshmukh,Anita Thengare, OBC Mahasangh’s Babanrao Taywade, Sanjay Shende, Ramesh Rathod, Dnyaneshwar Rakshak , Buddhist community’s Pradeep Aglawe, Aman Kamble, BANAI’s President Sunil Talware, Krishna Kamble, Trilok Hazare, Anil Hirekhan, P S Khobragade, Pradeep Nagrare, Pritam Bulkunde, Shyamrao Hadke, Shashikant Jambhulkar, Praful Bhalerao, Jayant Ingle and others.
In this meeting a decision was taken to form a joint committee. During the meeting it was decided that in the Bahujan Samaj the propogation of Manuvadi thoughts be stopped and instead the thoughts of Chatrapti SHivaji Maharaj, Rajshri Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Fuley and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar be propogated and spread and for this programmes be planned and organised. Besides this it was decide to hold Samata Prava programme all over the state at Tehsil level. At the end the government role in Bhima -Koregaon incident was condemned and it was demanded that the accused Manohar Bhide and Milind Ekbote be arrested and in case this not done they threatened to launch an agitation.
