Army jawans nabbed mobile thieves

In search of mobile thief after losing his mobile phone during journey in train, a group of army jawans successfully nabbed two youths on Delhi railway track at central railway station on Wednesday evening.

Later, on interrogating the duo, Railway police led to their other two partners including a minor boy.

Except the minor, alleged accused are identified as Mohammad Shamshuddin, Mohammad Irfan, both residents of Ansar Nagar and Shaikh Salman of Motibagh. All three are in their twenties.

Army Jawan Vikas Kumar Dalbag Singh has filed a complaint with railway police. Been posted at Kamptee, he was heading to Nagpur from Delhi. Kumar told police that while the train had slowed down near city railway station, he was talking to his family on the cell phone near the door when suddenly an unidentified youth snatched the mobile and run away. He claimed that he got down from train to chase the thief but another partner started pelting stone on him. However, by then the train had gained its speed and Dalbagh Singh boarded the train.

On reaching station, Singh and his other military friends started searching for the youths and found two of them near Delhi railway
line. Both were handed to railway police and the cell phone was seized. The duo told their partners name during questioning. All four
are granted police custody till Saturday.
