Leaving the door open for two hours proved costly for a homemaker, Shabnam Bano of Ansar Nagar in Tehsil. Seems like the thieves had kept a watch on her house, they sneaked into her house and made away with cash Rs 1 lakh and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.68 lakhs.
Bano told police that she had left the door open as her children were sleeping inside and no other elder was present at home. She had gone to buy medicines from Mayo hospital when the incident took place.
Tehsil police has reported the loss of total Rs 2.68 lakhs and a case has been registered against unidentified thieves. Cops suspect nearby youths involved in the robbery.
