Apple and Cisco has announced their partnership today to enhance the iOS users’ experience.  As a result iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad and their apps will experience a ‘fast lane’ within Cisco-provided corporate networks and will enjoy quicker response times and prioritized data transfer speeds.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that iPhone and iPad have become a necessity  for the modern workforce and are ‘changing the way work gets done’. “Together with Cisco, we believe we can give businesses the tools to maximise the potential of iOS and help employees become even more productive using the devices they already love.”

Cisco Executive Chairman John Chambers said, “Through the partnership, we are offering our  customers the ability to extend the Cisco environment to their favourite iOS devices. Together, we’re going to help teams achieve higher levels of productivity and effectiveness.”

Apple and Cisco are working together to enhance the business collaboration capabilities of the iPhone within Cisco voice and video environments. The aim is to deliver ‘a seamless experience’ between an employee’s iPhone and their work phone.
