Nagpur city was full of glory as the girl Rakhi Bhawate who topped the SSC exam in entire Maharashtra, another girl Apoorva Kelkar of Somalwar HIgh school bagged the second spot from Nagpur with 98.18 percent or 540 marks out of 550. Rakhi has scored 545 marks. Apoorva almost topped the exam but fell short of 5 marks and in efforts, too. In tete-a-tete with Nagpur Today, she briefly opened her mind about the success story.

Apoorva’s father, Narayan Kelkar was HoD of Philosophy in Patna University, but he gave up his job in order to help, encourage and guide his daughters to achieve excellence. Apoorva’s elder sister is doing M.B.B.S from G.M.C Yavatmal. His advice to students was never to delay today’s work for tomorrow. Relax and study regularly to ease off sudden exam pressure.

Apoorva’s mother said, Apoorva has perfomed excellently as was expected from her. She has been a topper right from standard 1st. She is very down to earth and silent person. She has also participated in Maharashtra Talent Search competition and has been selected for the next round to be held soon.
