Anytime Gym in Civil Lines vacated as landlord wins case

The famous Anytime Gym, known for its influential visitors to the likes of political leaders and some of the known names in city had to be vacated on Monday following the verdict of long pending case against the gym director Chandan Lunawat.

Following the court’s order Sadar police came at the building on Monday and monitored the process while the equipments and other articles in the gym were shifted out.

The gym ran into a building owned by Thakkar who had rented out the space to Lunawat.

Bollywood star Sunil Shetty had visited the gym for its inauguration while political leaders like Ajay Patil of NCP and Sunil Kedar were frequent at the place. Sources said though these people visited gym as members, they also have financial stake in the facility.

Meanwhile, Lunawat started defaulting on rent payment following which Thakkar approached him for clearing the dues but he remained ignorant.

Thakkar then moved to the court against him. The court finally ordered Lunawat to vacate the place.
