Nagpur News: Amit Anthony slammed four goals including a hat-trick as South Eastern Central Railway (SECR) Bilaspur drubbed Railway Wagon Factory (RWF) Bangaluru 6-0 in an inaugural encounter of 69th All India Railway Football (League Phase) Championship hosted by
South East Central Railway Sports Association (SECRSA) at Motibagh Stadium on Friday.
Along with Anthony Abdul Khalique also played an important role in the massive victory by striking twice. SECR were leading by 1-0 in the first half. Amit Anthony put them in leading position in the 44th minute.
Then in the second half it wa all Anthony show. In the 65th minute he increased the lead scoring spectacular goal.
Two minutes later once again he struck and completed the hat-trick.
In the 70th minute, SECR replaced Santhil by experienced Abdul Khalique. Their ploy paid dividend as in the very next moment Kahlique found the net and made the equation 4-0.
Two minutes later once again Khalique struck and put SECR in commanding position.
In the 77th minute, Anthony once again found the net and sealed the fate of opponents.
Earlier chief mechanical engineer of SEC Railway RS Kochak inaugurated the tournament.
DRM SL Verma presided over the function. HGS/ SECR SK Gupta, ADRM Saibal Bose, senior sports offficer Pradeep Kumar, national athlete Shirani Kochak, Maya Verma and others were also present on the occasion.
