Another land dispute triggers gang war in city, gangster Shamsher’s brother Gaffar shot dead

The spine-chilling battle of bullets was waged by a warring party of the land dispute at about 6.30 pm on Tuesday at Aurangzeb Square in Hasanbagh. The indiscriminate firing the busy square created ripples in the city and rattled the Police Department to the core. The Square has become an epicenter of high-voltage tension and thus sent shock waves to the nearby areas. Police have now tightened the security in the area and deployed a battery of policemen to avert major breakdown of law and order.

hasanbagNagpur News: The Aurangzeb Square in Hasanbagh turned into a bloody gang war on Tuesday evening. A land dispute triggered an indiscriminate firing of  bullets in which gangster Shamsher’s brother Gaffar Ali Ramjan Ali was riddled with three bullets and died on the spot. Two others also received bullet injuries.

DSC_4953The other two injured have been identified Ibrahim Sheikh Akbar Sheikh and Sachin Ashok Damahe. Both have been admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The supporters and friends of Gaffar have rushed to the GMCH creating tension in the hospital. Police have deployed a posse of policemen at GMCH also to avoid any untoward incident.

A dispute is going on between Shamesher, Gaffar and Alim, Kalim over a two-acre land in Wathoda. The two warring groups had previously carried out armed attacks against each other. The police had then externed Shamsher. Gaffar was also externed but the police action was dismissed by the court.
