Another 24-year-old young man murdered over a petty reason

Nagpur: Hardly after 12 hours of a 29-year-old being murdered by smashing his head with a stone, another 24-year-old youth was murdered over a petty reason in Trimurti Nagar Square on September 17, 2016 around 5:30 pm.

The deceased is identified as Rohit Dhanraj Hakiband aged 24 years and a resident of Kamgar Colony near Buddha Vihar, Subhash Nagar.

According to reliable sources, the deceased Rohit Hakiband and his friend Bobby had gone to Orient Wine Shop. There the accused suspected to be Vinod Charmi and two more co-accused were standing there. Some wordy duel ensued suspected to be either the sale or purchase of his mobile or the deceased wanting the mobile of the accused to make a call. Some other sources claimed that this murder was caused over a cigarette.

The main accused is said to have whipped out a big knife and thrust it into the stomach of the deceased Rohit. Even after being hit by the knife, Rohit had ran after the assailants, but the assailants fled the spot.

His friend identified as Bobby had borrowed a friends two-wheeler and making the deceased Rohit sit in the middle had taken to Padole Hospital (a private hospital), however, the hospital authorities asked Bobby to take the severely injured to Government Medical College and Hospital. Rohit started sinking enroute to the hospital and when he reached GMCH, he was declared dead on arrival.

Till the time of filling the story, the police officials of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station were still completing the formalities. The hunt for the accused trio who too are said to be residents of Kamgar Colony, Subhash Nagar is on.
