Ankita Pandhre wins Bronze at State-level race

A girl student Ankita Umesh Pandhre brought laurels to her schools Pt Bachcharaj Vyas Vidyalaya by winning Bronze Medal in State Athletics Championship Tournament in Sub-Junior Group (Under 14). She clocked 1.44.9 seconds in the 600-meter race and bagged the third rank. This is Ankita’s first ever medal in State-level championship. In earlier contest, her best timing was recorded as 1.50.1 second.

The State Athletics Championship Tournament, organized jointly by Maharashtra State Athletics Association and Pune District Athletics Association, was held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune on July 5. In the prize distribution ceremony, General Secretary of Maharashtra State Athletics Association Pralhad Sawant and other office-bearers were present.

Adv Upendra Joshi, Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Sanstha which runs Pt Bachcharaj Vyas Vidyalaya, Sanjay Shirpurkar, President and Madhuri Sulekar, Headmistress, Milind Kamble, Deputy Headmaster, Archana Joshi, Superviser, and other teachers have greeted Ankita and extended their best-wishes to her in future. Similarly, Principal of Physical Education College Dr Anil Karvande and Secretary Sharad Suryavanshi have also hailed Ankita for her achievement.
