Nagpur: Anganwadi Women’s Employees Organisation Sanghatana, Women’s Savings Group and Nutritious Diet Distribution Organisation under the banner of CITU staged dharna on Ganesh Tekdi Road to press their demands. Hundreds of women employees from Nagpur and other districts participated.
According to the them the government had assured to raise their honorarium after their ‘kam bandh’ agitation- Bhaubheej Rs 2000, for Sevika Rs 1500, Mini Anganwadi Sevikas Rs 1250 and the helpers Rs 1000 times. But till today the government has not passed any resolution regarding this and so it is a sheer betrayal. They have demanded that the government immediately give orders for their honorarium. Similarly, during its 2018-19 budget the government should raise their honorarium by 10 per cent and according to seniority 5 per cent raise be given.
Women’s Savings Group and Nutritious Diet Distribution Organisations have demanded that nutritious diet bills be passed in time, similarly Rs 12 of beneficiaries be also given in time. The decision to distribute premix diet be cancelled. The other demands along with these were made by the workers.
The morcha was led by Anganwadi Women Employees’ Union’s President Rameshchandra Dahiwsde, General Secretary Shubha Shamim Women Savings Group and Nutritious Diet Union’s state office bearers Armati Irani, Sangeeta Kamble.
