Nagpur: Dr Anees Ahmed, the Congress candidate contesting Assembly election from Central Nagpur constituency, reiterated his resolve to change the face of Central Nagpur by connecting it with Metro and Sky Railway projects. “I will make efforts to give a developing facelift to this important constituency,” declared Anees Ahmed while addressing a get-together of workers in Mahal area on the occasion of “Sharad Pournima.”
“This Second Capital City will occupy a graceful place in the world map with the coming of ambitious Metro and Sky Railway projects. Central Nagpur is important hub of trade and market with the Central Avenue passing through the centre of city. I will try to make this Central Avenue the stoppage of Sky Railway. The project will not only provide solution to vehicular traffic problem but also provide jobs to thousands of youths. The Sky Railway project will give a much needed relief to office-goers of Central Nagpur. I will also give priority in resolving other problems being faced by citizens of this constituency,” said the Congress candidate.
Dr Anees Ahmed participated in get-together of workers and citizens organized by Congress party to mark Kojagiri celebrations. He later embarked on a “Padayatra” and traversed Bhankheda, Pachpaoli and other areas of Central Nagpur and appealed people to vote for Congress. Others who accompanied Dr Anees Ahmed included Ravi Paigwar, Corporator Yogesh Tiwari, Sanjay Khule, Rinku Jain, Pramod Shukla, Mangesh Pathrabe, Dinanath Kharbikar, Mahesh Kukreja, Rajesh Nandankar, Dr Vitthalrao Kombade, Omprakash Shahir, Raju Mahajan, Ashok Nikhade and hundreds of other workers and citizens.
