NewDelhi/Nagpur: Smriti Irani rip apart an Aaj Tak anchor today who verbally assaulted her with sexual overtones on the news channel’s chat show. The Human Resource Development Minister was taking questions from the audience when the anchor, Ashok Singhal, shamelessly asked her the question – What qualities do you possess that you were made the HRD minister by Prime Minister Narendra Modi?
In what could be mentioned as misinterpretation of a question, as clarified by Ashok Singhal later on the show, supporters of Minister of Human Resources Development Smriti Irani created ruckus leading to physical clash with the television anchor.
In a live-programme hosted by Aaj Tak, where two anchors of Aaj Tak were asking questions to Minister of Human Resources Development Smriti Irani. One of the anchor Ashok Singhal who never meant to insult her ( as clarified by Ashok Singhal later ) asked her what Prime Minister Narendra Modi saw in her that he made her the Minister for Human Resources Development.
This could mean that what particular talent, administrative, oratorical skills or popularity gained during her acting days in Television did Narendra Modi see that he made her Minister for Human Resource Development. However, Minister of Human Resources Development Smriti Irani and her supporters took an offence to that question and created a big ruckus live on television. So much so that the supporters clashed with the television crew.
The police had to be summoned to diffuse the matter and from escalating.
