Ambedkar College girls retain basketball crown

Ambedkar Management College girls won the basketball title for the fourth successive year after they defeated arch rivals LAD College convincingly by 46 points (86-40) in the summit clash played on Sunday.

The tournament was organised by the Physical Education and Sports Department of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University at its Ravi Nagar courts. It was talented state level players Shreya Dandekarand Mugdha Amraotkar who made the difference with their excellent performance.

While Shreya scored 46 points, Mugdha added 36 in their team’s title winning cause. For LAD College, Rasika Pande and Rutuja Rotkar both scored 18 points each.

The quarterwise score was 19- 8, 21-12, 18-10, 28-10. MM Architecture women’s College got the better of Ramdeobaba College 24-23 to clinch the third spot. The quarter wise score was 1-10, 8-5, 4-3, 11-5.
