Ambazari police arrested three youths attempting to loot another youth on knife point under its jurisdiction on Sunday.

The youths have been identified as Ajay Bhaurao Meshram (23), a resident of Sanjay Nagar, Pandharabodhi; Pravin Laxman Dhate (23), a resident near Rajendra High School, Mahal and Shabbir Bashir Khan (19), a resident near Dahikar flour mill, Kotwali. According to information, the complainant Aniket Sunil Padhye (25), a resident of Dharampeth, was on his way to visit his friend on his motorcycle when the accused stopped him at Ambazari Bypass Road, near Maratha Hotelon Sunday at around 7 pm. The accused then threatened him on knife point and attempted to relieve him of his valuables. However, Ambazari police patrolling party noticed suspicious activity and approached the scene.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Aniket, Ambazari police arrested all the three youths under Sections 393, 4 read with sub sections 4+25, 135 of MPC Act.
