Bank employees hold demonstration
Nagpur: Allahabad Bank, one of the premier Nationalized Banks of the country, recently completed 151 years of Service to the Nation. The employees of Allahabad Bank had organized peaceful Road Show cum demonstrations on March 8, 2016 against the defaulters of large sums of loans and yet are leading a lavish life style and commanding a good reputation in society. These defaulters are not repaying the bank’s loan and are said to be stalling the processes of recovery of loans. The public money is in doldrums which is essential to be channelized into the economy to augment growth at this critical stage.
In order to bring to notice of the masses the way the rich and the famous avail large amounts of loan and royally defer the repayments and then stall the recovery process using unfair means. The staff members of the Allahabad Bank gathered peacefully at various places in Nagpur carrying banners and requesting the defaulters, repayment of Bank’s dues.
This unique step of the bank not only created awareness in general public for timely repayment of public money but also created moral pressure on these defaulters. This unique mode of creating awareness among the masses about repayment of loans was definitely one of the first time action by any bank.
