Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water have jointly planned to take up an interconnection work to create inlet arrangements for newly rehabilitated Sitaburdi Fort (Killa) GSR on Seminary Hills to Fort MBR Feeder Main, on March 9. The 18-hours shutdown work will start at 10 am on Wednesday.
This interconnection work will facilitate OCW to carry out hydraulic test and other maintenance work of newly built compartment.
Due to this work the water supply from (Gandhibagh ) Khadan ESR, Killa Mahal ESR, Fort I GSR will remain affected on March 9 evening. While on March 10, these areas will receive low pressure and limited water supply.
The areas to remain affected during shutdown period on March 9 are: Ganjipeth, Bhaldarpura, Buddu Ka Minara, Jyoti Nagar, Gandhibagh Kapda Market, Jalalpura, Marwadi Chal, Indira Gandhi Slum, Bhawsar Sq., Tahasil Police Station, Nanga Putla, Back Part Of Renuka Mata Mandir, Ayachit Mandir Area, Nababpura, Zenda Sq. Area, Risaldar Galli, Shingada Market, Sangh Building, Badkas Sq. Area , Gandhi Gate, Tilak Putala, Behind Kashibai Mandir, Mohan Lanjewar Galli Dasra Road, Hansapuri, Dasra Road, Gondhlipura, Dasra Road Tahsildar Masjhid, Rahatekarwadi, Gujar Nagar, Sweeper Colony, Juni Mangalwari, Part Of Bagadganj, Juni Mangalwari , Behind Rahate Hospital, Sudam Galli, Bapurao Galli, Pothi Galli, Behind Renuka Mata Mandir CA Road, Nikalas Mandir Area, Itwari Takiya.

Part of Laxmi Nagar Old ESR water supply to remain affected
Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water have planned to take 38 Hours shutdown for laying, installation and interconnection of 500mm dia. MS line with existing main distribution network of Laxminagar Old ESR at Mate Square on March 10.
The work that will affect water supply in part of Laxmi Nagar Old ESR will start at 8 am on March 10 and water supply will be normalized onn March 11 at 11 am.
Areas to remain affected due to this shutdown are: Atrey Lay Out, Anand Nagar, Gittikhadan Lay Out, Kotwal Nagar, Laxmi Nagar (West), Buti Lay Out, RBI Colony, VNIT Campus, NIT Lay Out, Friends Lay Out, Pratap Nagar, SE Rly Colony, Dhangarpura, Tatya Tope Nagar, RPTS Campus, Jagdish Nagar and Rahate Lay Out etc.
