Nagpur News : Air Commodore Alok Sharma, Vayu Sena Medal, took over as the Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station, Nagpur on 24 Mar 14 in an impressive ceremonial parade held at the Station.

Air Cmde Alok Sharma was commissioned as flying pilot on 13 Jun 1987 and has more than 9400 hrs of flying experience. He has flown many transport aircrafts like Dornier, AN-32 and also VVIP aircraft Embraer-135.

He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy. He is a Qualified Flying Instructor and has been on instructional tenures.  The Air Officer has commanded a transport Squadron at one of the premier bases of Indian Air Force.

 Before taking over the Command of Air Force Station Nagpur, the air officer was posted at Headquarter Integrated Defence Services, New Delhi.
