Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa praises outstanding professionalism by air warriors

Nagpur: Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa PVSM AVSM YSM VM ADC, Chief of the Air Staff reiterated effective utilization of available resources for operational readiness at all times. He emphasised that, Maintenance Command has a major role in maintaining the war fighting equipment of Indian Air Force. He appreciated the outstanding professionalism and efforts put in by air warriors to keep pace with the rapid upgradation of modern technologies being incorporated by the Indian Air Force.

The Chief of the Air Staff was speaking after inaugurating the Maintenance Command Commanders’ Conference on yesterday Nov 27 at Vayusena Nagar. The two days Conference is being attended by the Commanders of Base Repair Depot, Equipment Depot and other Units / Stations under maintenance Command. The progress of various ongoing maintenance activities and Projects at various units was reviewed during the Conference. On this occasion he also presented trophies to the Base Repair Depots and Equipment Depots, who had excelled in their core professional work.


Impressive Guard of Honour
Earlier, the Air Chief and his wife Kamalpreet Dhanoa, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) were received by Air Marshal Hemant Sharma AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command and Kusum Sharma, President, AFWWA (Regional). On his arrival, the Chief of Air Staff was presented an impressive ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ at HQ Maintenance Command, Vayusena Nagar. During the visit, the Air Chief addressed the Air Warriors and interacted with Civilians.


Sanginis asked to acquire new skills
Kamalpreet Dhanoa addressed a meeting of Sanginis along with Kusum Sharma. During the visit, she reviewed the progress of welfare schemes and ventures at stations under Maintenance Command. She lauded the steps taken by the Association at Regional and Local levels for welfare of their members and advised all the Sanginis to acquire new skills to keep pace with the changing environment.
