Nagpur: The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI), the country’s leading body representing private healthcare providers, organized a high-level Healthcare Leadership Conclave in Nagpur under the chairmanship of Dr. Girdhar Gyani, Director General of AHPI. The conclave brought together CEOs, Medical Directors, Chief Administrators, and senior healthcare professionals from leading hospitals across Nagpur and the Vidarbha region to discuss key policy, regulatory, and operational challenges shaping India’s healthcare sector.
Dr. Gyani highlighted emerging developments that are expected to redefine healthcare delivery in the country. A key focus of the conclave was the implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, which will require hospitals and healthcare institutions to strengthen data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
The conclave also featured discussions on several national healthcare initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), the National Health Exchange (NHX), General Insurance Council (GIC) regulations, and issues related to the Preferred Provider Network (PPN). Healthcare leaders emphasized the growing need for digital integration, regulatory preparedness, and patient-centric governance.
Participants also reviewed AHPI’s legal interventions concerning the Consumer Protection Act and discussed the increasing incidents of violence against healthcare professionals and medical institutions. The leaders stressed the importance of creating a safer working environment for healthcare workers while maintaining public confidence in the healthcare system.
The conclave unanimously reaffirmed that healthcare leadership should remain focused on patient welfare, with every policy, process, and investment ultimately serving the interests of patients and their families. They emphasized that patient trust remains the foundation of quality healthcare.
