Aged woman robbed of gold booty worth Rs 1.50 lakh

A 60-year old woman was relieved of her gold ‘Mangalsutra’ and ‘Kanthimal’ (chain) worth Rs 1,50,000 by two motorcycle-borne chain-snatchers in Trimurti Nagar area on Thursday.

The victim Pranita Babasaheb Gudade (60), resident of Plot No. 30, NIT Layout, Trimurti Nagar, was going to a tailor’s shop in the area walking. When Pranita reached near Saptasagar Dhanya Kirana Shop, two unidentified youths in the age group of 25-30 years riding on a black-coloured motorcycle came from behind and snatched the gold ‘Mangalsutra’ and ‘Kanthimal’ (chain) she was wearing and sped away. The gold valuables were worth Rs 1,50,000. Taken aback by the robbing incident, Pranita immediately reached the Pratapnagar Police Station and filed a complaint in this connection.
