Nagpur: An aged woman lost her life when crossing a road as she was hit by a speeding four-wheeler on Tuesday evening. The driver of the killer vehicle fled the spot and cops have launched a search to nab him.
On Tuesday, around 6.45 pm, the deceased Sundara Gunwant Kakde (60), resident of Borkhedi, Nagpur, was crossing the road in Raja Nagar on Hingna Road. While crossing the road, the rashly driven four-wheeler (MH-31/CB 3086) hit her. The impact left Sundara with critical injuries and she died on the spot. The unidentified driver of the four-wheeler fled the spot along with vehicle without bothering for Sundara’s fate.
Based on the information, MIDC PSI Patankar registered an offence against the four-wheeler driver under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and searching for him.
