Nagpur: Towards promotion of aeronautics at school level, Nagpur Chapter of the Aeronautical Society under the patronage of Air Marshal PP Khandekar, Chairman, AeSI Nagpur organised interschool events for School students. Events were held on Teachers Day at Centre Point School, Katol Road. Air Commodore Suresh Singh AVSM, VSM Command Engineering Officer, HQ MC & Fellow, AeSI was the Chief Guest. Around 30 Schools in the city participated and the event was attended by eminent scientists, senior officers of IAF, Principals and teachers of schools.
Inter-School Quiz competition for students of class VII to XII saw 20 teams competing against each other The quiz was conducted by Wg Cdr Samir Gangakhedkar and Shivani. 1st Prize was won by Swayam Basu, Prakhar Rajpali and Miss Epsita Khan of Centre Point School, Dabha in a close contest. 2nd Prize was won by Varun Agrawal, Jinisha Zoting and Tanmay Chinoaliya Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines and 3rd prize won by Mr Himanshu Ranjan, Bhavneet Bali and Abritti Roy of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Ashti.
Poster making competition was for students of class V to VII .A total for 62 students participated.
Winners are: –
1st Palaq Agrawal of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, 2nd Ayushi Mahajan of Centre Points School, Wardhaman Nagar, 3rd Mahita Gupta of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines. Consolation Prize was won by N. Shinaraju of BKVV and Tanvi Bhalla of CPS Wardhaman Nagar. Essay Competition for students of class VII to XII had a total of 119 students. Students displayed remarkable writing skills.

1st Atharva Basarkar of Narayan Vidyalayam, 2nd Pranjali Kadam of Narayan Vidyalayam and 3rd Sidhant Chichkhade of Shri Guru Harikrishan Public School. Zubin and his team made elaborate arrangements and ensured that the event was conducted smoothly.”
