Nagpur: The Advantage Vidarbha 2026 Summit marked a decisive moment for central India’s industrial future as Jeet Adani announced a landmark ₹70,000 crore Integrated Coal Gasification and Downstream Derivatives Complex at Linga in Kalmeshwar—one of the largest clean-energy-linked investments ever committed to the region.
Addressing the summit, Adani said the project is expected to create nearly 30,000 direct jobs and transform Nagpur into a strategic hub for clean energy and advanced manufacturing. He described the complex as a cornerstone for India’s long-term energy independence, designed to build domestic chemical capabilities while enabling cleaner industrial processes.
Calling Advantage Vidarbha a platform for future-ready development, Adani said the investment reflects growing confidence in Vidarbha as a serious industrial destination, backed by improving infrastructure and policy stability.

Adani also outlined responsible mining and logistics development, citing the underground Gondkhairi mine with minimal land use and sustainability measures such as rainwater harvesting and zero-effluent discharge. On logistics, he pointed to the 75-acre Inland Container Depot at Borkhedi and the acquisition of 24 border check posts across Maharashtra—steps intended to cut freight costs, boost exports and enhance regional competitiveness.
In aviation and defence-linked infrastructure, Nagpur is emerging as a global aircraft maintenance centre through expansion of the MRO facility at MIHAN. Following the acquisition of Indamer Technics, the site now features 15 aircraft bays with international certifications, integrated into a global maintenance network.
Beyond industry, Adani highlighted community initiatives in Gondia and Nagpur spanning healthcare, education, women’s self-help groups, nutrition, clean water, solar lighting, sports and school development. Sustainability remains central to the group’s roadmap, with zero-water discharge practices, fly ash reuse, and progress toward planting 100 million trees by 2030, alongside a target to source 60% of energy from renewables by 2027.
The Advantage Vidarbha Summit also echoed a shared vision for inclusive growth, with references to development priorities outlined by Narendra Modi, infrastructure-led expansion championed by Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra’s balanced regional development push under Devendra Fadnavis.
