Nagpur: Additional Municipal Commissioner Nayana Gunde has been empanelled to Indian Administrative Service (IAS) as per Indian Administrative Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1954. The Under-Secretary of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Government of India, Pankaj gangwar has issued a notification of Tuesday regarding promotions to officers of State Civil Service of Maharashtra cadre. Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Mayor Pravin Datke, Head of Town Planning Department Supriya Thool as well as other officials greeted Nayana Gunde for her achievement. Former Municipal Commissioner Shyam Wardhane too welcomed her for this promotion and sent her bouquets that were personally handed over to her by Hardikar and Thool.
Notably, whenever the class of officers deployed in different departments in Nagpur were promoted they were transferred to higher posts in State as well as Central Government departments. In this order, Shyam Wardhane was appointed Transport Commissioner, another former Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Sethi was made Additional Metropolitan Commissioner-I and Project Director, MUTP, MMRDA, former District Collector Pravin Darade is now Secretary of Chief Minister, former Additional Commissioner of Tribal Development Pallavi Darade is now Additional Commissioner (Urban) of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, former District Collector Sanjay Mukherjee is Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, former Municipal Commissioner of NMC Assem Gupta is now holiding post of chief of SRA, former Municipal Commissioner Sanjiv Jaiswal is at the same post but at Thane, former District Collector Manukumar Shrivastav is now Revenue Secretary, and former Additional Municipal Commissioner Atul Patne is holding the post of Director in the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.
