Acting VC convenes meeting of top officials to streamline RTMNU working before NAAC visit

All the departments of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Parisar (Campus) are getting a facelift. Many civil works, hitherto pending, but are necessary for students’ welfare and basic needs, are being undertaken on war-footing. The hostels of RTMNU are also getting a new look as the date of NAAC visit draws closer and closer.

The Acting Vice Chancellor Anoop Kumar, in view of upcoming visit of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) on September 10, 2014, has convened a joint meeting of various Heads of Departments (HoDs) of post graduate departments, administrative officers and other employees on Tuesday, August 26. The meeting will be held at 2 pm at Convocation Hall.

As the date of the NAAC visit is drawing closer and closer, the university is leaving no stone unturned to impress the team and subsequently putting in its best efforts in preparation towards the scheduled visit. Acting Vice Chancellor Anoop Kumar will be chairing the meet and will guide the gathering. All the departments of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Parisar (Campus) are getting a face lift. Many civil works, hitherto pending, but are necessary for students’ welfare and basic needs, are being undertaken on war-footing. The hostels of RTMNU are also getting a new look.
Anoop Kumar is expected to guide the teachers, administrative officers and other employees on finer points to be prepared for the NAAC visit. Already, the ‘ LEC,’ which was formed to look into the high-profile visit, had given its directions. Now, it will be interesting to note what the Acting VC decides and issues directions to the officials in this regard.

The Tuesday meeting is expected to discuss the controversial circular that was sent to all the officials of various departments. The circular, which was issued a few days ago, had created a situation of trust deficit between the officials and the Acting Vice Chancellor, so some extent.
