Accidental death turns out a hit and run case

Nagpur News: An accidental death case has turned out to be a hit and run case causing death of an aged person by reckless driving on the part of an unidentified person.

According to police, the victim Navin Madanlal Talwar (60), resident of Mecosabagh near Sindhi Hindi High School in Nagpur, riding a Scooty (MH-31/AR 9631), was found injured in a road accident near Kadbi Chowk petrol pump on Kamptee Road between 2345 hours of 7-2-2014 and 0315 hours of 8-2-2014.

He was rushed to Mayo Hospital where doctors had declared Navin Talwar brought dead. The Jaripatka police had registered an accidental death. However, during detailed investigation by PSI Niswade, it was revealed that Navin Talwar was actually knocked dead by an unidentified person riding Suzuki Access Scooter (MH-31/DY 1648) speedily and recklessly.

The Access rider, after hitting Navin Talwar’s Scooty, had run from the spot. Now, the accused has been booked under Sections 279, 338, 304(A) of the IPC. Police are now searching the unidentified hit and run accused.
